• Sir Alex Ferguson's side failed to win at home for the first time in the Premier League this season. United have drawn three of their last four games in all competitions and are still unbeaten in 2010/11, but they have won only five of their 11 competitive matches.

• Javier Hernández scored his first goal in the Premier League, his third in four matches for club and country.

• United have scored in their last 15 league games at Old Trafford, though they drew a blank against Rangers FC on Matchday 1.

• Nine of the 11 league goals United have conceded have come after half-time.

• United have drawn all four of their Premier League away games this season, although they did win at Scunthorpe United FC in the League Cup and at Valencia CF on Matchday 2.

• Ryan Giggs suffered a hamstring injury against Bolton Wanderers FC on 26 September. He returned against West Brom but was withdrawn before half-time after a recurrence of the problem.

• On 16 September United confirmed Valencia will miss "a good portion of the season" after dislocating and fracturing his left ankle against Rangers FC.

• Prior to the game against Liverpool FC on 19 September, Anderson had been out since suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury on 23 February.

• Owen Hargreaves has made one appearance since 21 September 2008 due to a long-standing knee injury and is not in United's UEFA Champions League squad.
