• Thorsten Fink made eight changes to the team which defeated FC St. Gallen in Basel's previous game, with only Franco Costanzo, Samuel Inkoom and Xherdan Shaqiri retaining their places.

• The win, coupled with a defeat for FC Luzern, lifted Basel to the Super League summit for the first time since August.

• Streller scored a hat-trick as Basel extended their unbeaten league run to seven matches by winning 3-1 at St. Gallen on 24 October.

• Despite winning just four of their last ten league games, Basel are still a point better off than at this stage last season.

• Holders Basel will travel to second tier Servette FC in the last 16 of the Swiss Cup on 20 November.

• Genséric Kusunga went off with a muscle problem against Bellinzona.

• Jacques Zoua has not played since tearing a thigh muscle on 10 September while on duty with Cameroon.

• Francesco Totti and Lecce's Rubén Olivera were sent off after Mirko Vučinić's goal, meaning the Roma captain will be suspended for Sunday's derby with S.S. Lazio.

• Roma have lost just one of their last 20 home games in Serie A.

• The Giallorossi have scored 13 goals in as many matches in all competitions this term.

• Following four successive away defeats in all competitions this season, Roma drew 0-0 at Parma FC on 24 October.

• Philippe Mexès sat out the Lecce game due to a fever, while Cicinho replaced Marco Cassetti at half-time after the defender complained of pain to his right ankle.

• Matteo Brighi suffered a left thigh injury in the late stages against Lecce. Tests have confirmed muscle damage and the 29-year-old is expected to be out of action for three weeks.

• David Pizarro injured his left thigh in training on 27 October and was ruled out for three weeks.

• Rodrigo Taddei was ruled out for a month after suffering a recurrence of a calf injury in the warm-up at Parma.

• Vučinić returned against Parma having sustained a knock while on international duty at the start of October.

• Adriano twisted his left ankle in training prior to the defeat at SSC Napoli on 3 October.

• Totti received the 2010 GOLDEN FOOT award from Sovereign Prince Albert II at a ceremony in Monaco on 11 October. The Roma captain finished ahead of Raúl González and David Beckham in a poll of fans, allowing him to leave his footprint on the Champions Promenade in the principality.
