• Rasmus Lindgren was dismissed in added time as Martin Jol's team failed to score for the third successive Eredivisie match, the first time they have done so since October/November 2005 when they went four games without a goal.

• Ajax have lost three of their last five matches in all competitions, their worst run of form since January/February 2009.

• ADO Den Haag inflicted Ajax's second league reverse of the campaign on 7 November, the 1-0 home loss followed a week later by a 2-0 setback at AZ Alkmaar in which Ooijer was sent off.

• Those back-to-back league defeats came after just two losses in Ajax's previous 31 Eredivisie games.

• On as a half-time substitute, Mido headed his first goal since rejoining Ajax as the holders defeated second-tier BV Veendam 3-0 at home in the Dutch Cup round of 32 on 11 November. AZ visit the Amsterdam ArenA in the last 16 on 23 December.

Injury news
• Florian Jozefzoon missed the PSV game due to a knee injury sustained while on international duty.

• Oleguer made his comeback as a late substitute against Den Haag after suffering a broken nose on Matchday 3, but missed the AZ and PSV matches due to a muscle problem in his left leg.

• Thimothée Atouba, out with a left knee injury since August 2009, was sent off on his comeback for the reserves on 25 October.

• Nicolás Lodeiro has not played since fracturing his right foot at the FIFA World Cup, and was ruled out until the new year on 23 October when he broke a bone in the same foot while training.

• Evander Sno had an internal defibrillator fitted after passing out during a reserve fixture on 13 September because of a suspected heart problem. He returned in a reserve friendly on 11 November.

• Kenneth Vermeer tore his right Achilles in training on 12 August and is expected to be sidelined for six months.
