• Nine games unbeaten before Matchday 5, Bayern suffered their second defeat in three games in Gelsenkirchen.

• Anatoliy Tymoshchuk scored twice as Bayern beat Eintracht Frankfurt 4-1 on 27 November – their sixth successive home win in all competitions.

• Mario Gomez has scored 15 goals in his last 12 appearances for Bayern, including hat-tricks against Hannover 96 and CFR 1907 Cluj.

• Miroslav Klose is back in training after a hamstring problem that has kept him out since 12 October.

• Holger Badstuber was also due to resume training following a groin injury but suffered a setback and is expected to be out until the new year.

• Ivica Olić was ruled out for six months after knee surgery on 9 November.

• Arjen Robben (torn left thigh muscle) and third-choice goalkeeper Rouven Sattelmaier (bicep) are expected to be out until the new year.

• Tymoshchuk made his 100th international appearance in Ukraine's 2-0 defeat by Brazil on 11 October.

• Bayern will have a winter training camp in Doha, Qatar from 2-9 January.

• Jacques Zoua, out of action since tearing a thigh muscle on 10 September while on duty with Cameroon, returned against Servette FC in the Swiss Cup on 20 November but has since suffered a recurrence.
