Banega and Vicente out for Valencia

Midfielders Éver Banega and Vicente Rodríguez will miss Valencia CF's Group C opener at Bursaspor after picking up injuries in Saturday's 1-0 Liga win against Real Racing Club.

Valencia CF must negotiate their UEFA Champions League opener at Bursaspor without injured midfielders Éver Banega and Vicente Rodríguez after both were injured in Saturday's 1-0 Liga victory against Real Racing Club.

Argentina international Banega is set for a four-week spell on the sidelines with a left ankle sprain which will also rule him out of the Matchday 2 fixture at home to Manchester United FC. Vicente is set to undergo treatment on a hamstring strain. Unai Emery's side are making their UEFA Champions League return after a two-year absence and will face Rangers FC as well as Bursaspor and United in Group C.
