Milito and Obi double Inter's injury woe

FC Internazionale Milano's Diego Milito could miss the Matchday 5 meeting with FC Twente because of a thigh strain, with midfielder Joel Obi out for a month with a similar injury.

Diego Milito and Joel Obi picked up thigh strains during FC Internazionale Milano's 1-0 defeat by AC Milan and look set to miss the UEFA Champions League Matchday 5 visit of FC Twente.

Striker Milito, who only returned to action on 2 November after more than three weeks out with a similar injury, was replaced at half-time of Sunday's home derby loss and subsequent tests confirmed a "first-degree strain to his left thigh". No details of the length of Milito's absence have been revealed but he is unlikely to be available for the Group A game against the Dutch titleholders on 24 November.

Also sitting out that fixture will be 19-year-old midfielder Obi, who went off nine minutes before the break against the Rossoneri. He is expected to be sidelined for a month after sustaining a "second to third-degree strain to his left thigh". The Nerazzurri are level on points with Group A leaders Tottenham Hotspur FC and would be sure of qualifying with victory against Twente.
