Midfielders Salim Toama and Walid Badier will miss Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC's home game against SL Benfica on 24 November after being ruled out for ten days each with minor injuries.
A scan revealed that Toama, 31, had incurred a slight tear to a thigh muscle while warming up to come on as a substitute in the 0-0 Israeli Premier League draw against Beitar Jerusalem FC on Sunday. The 36-year-old Badier, meanwhile, tugged a hamstring in the first half of the same match but managed to play the 90 minutes.
With just a point from their first four Group B fixtures, Hapoel need wins in both their remaining games if they are to have a chance of qualifying for the UEFA Europa League round of 32 as the third-placed side in their section. They can no longer reach the UEFA Champions League knockout phase.
