Réveillère rewarded with contract extension

Anthony Réveillère has been handed a two-year contract extension having played every minute of Olympique Lyonnais' UEFA Champions League group stage campaign.

Anthony Réveillère has signed a two-year contract extension which will keep him at Olympique Lyonnais until June 2013.

Réveillère, 31, who joined Lyon in 2003 and has won five Ligue 1 titles during his time at Stade de Gerland, played every minute of Claude Puel's side's UEFA Champions League group stage campaign. "Lyon recognise Anthony Réveillère's loyalty to the club and hope he will continue to provide skill and great experience of the top level."

Lyon finished second in UEFA Champions League Group B and begin their round of 16 tie against Real Madrid CF in France on 22 February, with the return in the Spanish capital on 16 March.
