Tottenham face anxious Woodgate wait

After making his first appearance in 15 months in Tuesday's win at AC Milan, Tottenham Hotspur FC's Jonathan Woodgate could face another injury absence having strained his left adductor.

Tottenham Hotspur FC defender Jonathan Woodgate could face another spell on the sidelines after straining his left adductor muscle in Tuesday's win at AC Milan.

The 31-year-old centre-back had not appeared since November 2009 due to a persistent groin problem but came on for the final half-hour at San Siro in place of the injured Vedran Ćorluka. Despite finishing the match, Woodgate suffered another setback and according to a club statement "will now be assessed over the coming days".
