Christian Grindheim said his move to FC København had come at "the perfect time" after penning a three-year deal with the Danish Superliga champions.

Grindheim, 27, joins FCK after four seasons at sc Heerenveen, during which time he scored seven goals in 97 league appearances. His new employers reached last season's UEFA Champions League round of 16 and will enter the competition in the third qualifying round next term.

"I am really looking forward to joining a top club like København, who have done so well for a long time now," said Grindheim, who has 43 Norway caps. "I have come to win football games and have great experiences – in the Danish league as well as in Europe."
