Udinese Calcio coach Francesco Guidolin has boosted his midfield options with the signing of Abdoul Wahid Sissoko from AS Troyes EC for a reported fee of €1.5m.

The 21-year-old French-Malian midfielder , who is the younger brother of Juventus player Mohamed Sissoko, signed a five-year deal with the Friulani, a statement on the club's website confirmed on Friday. Sissoko spent the last three seasons with French Ligue 2 club Troyes, making 49 league appearances but now has the opportunity of UEFA Champions League football, with Udinese in the hat for the third qualifying round later this summer.
