FC Dynamo Kyiv have increased their attacking options by bringing in Nigeria striker Ideye Brown from FC Sochaux-Montbéliard for €8m.

The 22-year-old has agreed a five-year deal at Dynamo, who start their UEFA Champions League campaign in the third qualifying round. "One of the main reasons for my move is Dynamo's regular UEFA Champions League participation," Ideye said. "This club is famous across Europe and they have a big following."

Capped once by his country, Ideye scored 15 goals in 35 Ligue 1 games during his first full season in France last term. The former Neuchâtel Xamax FC man becomes the fourth Nigerian on Dynamo's books after Ayila Yussuf, Lukman Haruna and Frank Temile. "Ayila is a good friend of mine and I know Haruna too, so it shouldn't be too hard to adapt," the new acquisition added.

Yuri Semin's side kicked off their domestic season by beating arch-rivals FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukrainian Super Cup on Tuesday. They start their league campaign against FC Metalist Kharkiv this Sunday.
