Midfielder Francisco Yeste has signed a one-year deal with Greek titleholders Olympiacos FC.
Yeste, 31, moves to Athens on a free transfer having left Al Wasl FC after a season playing in the United Arab Emirates. The move reunites the player with Olympiacos coach Ernesto Valverde, who was at the helm for part of Yeste's 12-year spell at Athletic Club.
"The main motive for me to come to Greece was Ernesto Valverde," said Yeste. "We worked together for many years and he is the best coach I ever had the privilege to work with. I am very happy to be in Piraeus, a city that is so passionate about football, and I will try hard to contribute to the team's success."
A FIFA U-20 World Cup winner with Spain in 1999, Yeste scored 50 goals in 302 league appearances for Athletic. He will hope to be involved in next season's UEFA Champions League, with Olympiacos entering at the group stage.
