City sign Romania goalkeeper Pantilimon

Manchester City FC have made their fourth signing of the summer, bringing in Romanian international goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon from FC Timişoara for an undisclosed fee.

UEFA Champions League debutants Manchester City FC have made Romania goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon their fourth signing of the summer.

The 24-year-old joins from FC Timişoara for an undisclosed fee, subject to a successful work permit application. No further details of the transfer have been released for Pantilimon, who follows Stefan Savić, Sergio Agüero and Gaël Clichy to the City of Manchester Stadium in the off-season.

Pantilimon, who impressed when City met Timişoara in last season's UEFA Europa League play-off round, will act as cover to first-choice keeper Joe Hart. He has been capped 13 times by Romania. City start their maiden UEFA Champions League campaign in the group stage.
