FC Bayern München are likely to be without winger Arjen Robben for their trip to SSC Napoli on UEFA Champions League matchday three.

Robben, 27, was forced this week to withdraw from international training with the Netherlands because of a groin injury. He returned to Munich to be assessed and subsequently underwent surgery on Friday.

The injury dates back to August and has limited the former PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea FC and Real Madrid CF player to just two Bundesliga starts this term. He is not expected to resume training for another ten days, making him a major doubt for the visit to Naples on 18 October. Bayern are top of Group A with two wins from two matches.
