Wesley Sneijder will miss FC Internazionale Milano's UEFA Champions League trip to Trabzonspor AŞ on Tuesday after suffering an injury in the warm-up ahead of Saturday's 2-1 win against Cagliari Calcio.
The 27-year-old was due to start the Serie A encounter but felt pain in his right thigh and was replaced by Coutinho, who scored the second goal 30 minutes from time. Scans revealed a second-degree thigh strain that ensures the Dutch international will miss the game in Turkey. The injury is expected to keep the midfielder out for around three weeks, although the club have not confirmed how much football Sneijder will miss.
Inter top Group B with nine points from four games, and victory in Trabzon will guarantee their place in the knockout phase. The Nerazzurri will be looking to avenge a shock 1-0 home defeat to the Turkish side on matchday one.
