• Paulo Jorge scored his first goal of the season as APOEL beat the Cypriot top flight's bottom side, their second successive win; Nuno Morais struck his first league goal of the campaign.

• Esteban Solari has scored 54 goals in 94 league games over two spells at APOEL, who have never lost when he has registered.

• APOEL have had an indifferent start to 2012, managing just six wins in 13 outings.

• Before Saturday, APOEL had gone 11 games without a goal from a recognised forward – Aílton, Solari and Tričkovski.

• Since a 9-1 Cypriot Cup victory against second division Akritas Chlorakas FC on 11 January, the Nicosia outfit have scored just ten times in 11 outings.

• Oliviera and Aldo Adorno missed the first leg with calf injuries but have since returned to action.

• Tričkovski missed the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia's 2-1 loss to Luxembourg last week with a leg problem and was rested on Saturday.

• Alexandrou, Constantinos Charalambides, Athos Solomou and Marinos Satsias all featured as Cyprus held Serbia to a 0-0 draw on 29 February.

• Christos Kontis, 36, retired after having a heart attack at AEK Larnaca FC on 29 August. He played every minute of UEFA Champions League qualifying and scored the only goal against AC Omonia in the Cypriot Super Cup.

• Rémi Garde's team, unchanged from the XI held 4-4 by Paris Saint-Germain FC on 25 February, were left without a win in five league games.

• It was Lyon's eighth defeat in 14 games this season on their travels in Ligue 1; as many as they suffered home and away all last term.

• Lyon have fallen behind in seven of their last eight games, and have won one out of seven in the league in 2012.

• Yoann Gourcuff has not played since the first leg against APOEL because of an adductor problem.

• Rémy Vercoutre is available after recovering from ruptured tendons in his right foot suffered on 27 October.

• Dejan Lovren, yet to feature in 2012 due to an Achilles problem, played an hour of the reserves' 4-2 victory over FC Bourg-Péronnas on Saturday.

• John Mensah, out with a calf injury since 11 October, returned to action at the Africa Cup of Nations on 24 January. He scored twice and was sent off in four appearances as Ghana finished fourth, but has not played since because of a hamstring problem.

International duty
• Laurent Blanc last week announced that Hugo Lloris will captain France at UEFA EURO 2012, and the goalkeeper marked his appointment by helping Les Bleus to a 2-1 victory against Germany in Bremen on 29 February. Källström (in Sweden's 3-1 win in Croatia) and Bakary Koné (a 2-0 loss for Burkina Faso in Morocco) were also in action.

• Lacazette struck 24 hours earlier as France U21s earned a 1-1 friendly draw with Italy in Cannes, Clément Grenier and Gueïda Fofana also featuring.
