Luuk de Jong has penned a five-year contract with VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach after the Bundesliga club agreed a reported €15m fee with FC Twente.
The Dutch forward, 22 next month, scored 25 goals in 31 appearances in the Eredivsie last term and has seven international caps to his name. De Jong was selected in Bert van Marwijk's UEFA EURO 2012 squad but did not feature and his strike against Finland in qualifying in September remains his only goal for the Oranje.
"We are very happy the transfer has finally been completed," said sporting director Max Eberl. "Luuk will now join the rest of the squad as we head to our summer training camp in Bavaria on Friday. In Luuk de Jong, we now have a highly talented striker in our team, who, despite being only 21, already has plenty of international experience with FC Twente and the Dutch national team."
Mönchengladbach will enter the UEFA Champions League at the play-off stage having finished fourth in the Bundesliga last term and will learn their opponents in the draw on 10 August.
