SC Vaslui have secured the services of FC Dinamo Bucureşti captain Marius Niculae on a two-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months.
Niculae, capped 41 times by Romania, becomes Vaslui's 16th summer arrival as they seek to improve on last season's second-placed finish. The acquisition of the 31-year-old forward represents an impressive coup for the club, with Dinamo expected to be among their title rivals this term.
Niculae has only ever played for Dinamo in his homeland, taking in two spells with the capital outfit either side of playing abroad for the likes of FC Sporting Clube de Portugal and R. Standard de Liège. His new club begin their UEFA Champions League campaign in the third qualifying round, where they will take on Fenerbahçe SK.
Dinamo begun the 2012/13 Romanian First Division season with a 2-1 victory at CS Turnu Severin on Friday, while Vaslui open with a trip to FC Rapid Bucureşti on Sunday.
