AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano have agreed a swap move for forwards Giampaolo Pazzini and Antonio Cassano.
Milan, who will play in the UEFA Champions League group stage, have also additionally paid €7m to land Pazzini. No further details of his contract have been released. His former UC Sampdoria colleague Cassano, meanwhile, has agreed a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri, who face SC Vaslui in the UEFA Europa League play-offs over the next two Thursdays.
Pazzini, 28, joined Inter in January 2011 and scored 11 goals in 17 Serie A games during his first half-season in a Nerazzurri shirt. However he failed to repeat that form last term when he scored just five goals in 33 league matches. At Milan he will be reunited with his former Atalanta BC and ACF Fiorentina team-mate Riccardo Montolivo, who also joined the Rossoneri this summer.
While Pazzini missed out on the Italy squad for UEFA EURO 2012, Cassano was a key player for the eventual runners-up. The 30-year-old also helped Milan to win the Scudetto immediately after joining them in January 2011. Heart problems, however, limited the former AS Roma and Real Madrid FC man to only 16 games and three goals last term.
