AC Milan will be missing Robinho for the start of their UEFA Champions League group-stage campaign after the forward suffered a thigh injury in Serie A action at the weekend.
The 28-year-old was forced from the field with a right-thigh strain during the second half of Sunday's 1-0 home loss to UC Sampdoria. After the Brazilian underwent tests on Tuesday, a statement on the Milan website said that Robinho will be out for "three or four weeks".
Rossoneri coach Massimiliano Allegri must therefore prepare to be without the former Real Madrid CF and Manchester City FC man for the UEFA Champions League group-stage opener on 18/19 September and the upcoming league games against Bologna FC, Atalanta BC and Udinese Calcio.
