• Anderlecht advanced to the Belgian Cup round of 16 by defeating second division side R. Boussu Dour Borinage 2-0 at home on 26 September.

• The club's Constant Vanden Stock Stadium was renovated this summer. The orange seats have been replaced by the traditional purple and white of Anderlecht, more space has been created for fans and a VIP section introduced.

• Matías Suárez, Belgian Player of the Year last season, is not in Anderlecht's UEFA Champions League squad after being ruled out until later in the year following knee surgery.
