• Matías Aguirregaray was shown a straight red card just after the hour in Saturday's 5-1 win against an ACF Gloria 1922 Bistriţa side themselves down to ten men since the first half.

• Ioan Andone's side won 2-0 against third-tier ACS Berceni in the Romanian Cup round of 32 on 26 September.

• CFR lost to Romanian Cup holders FC Dinamo Bucureşti in the Super Cup on 14 July, succumbing 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

• Deac (knee ligaments), Vass (broken foot), Bakary Sare (broken leg) and Ronny (ligaments) have all been left out of CFR's UEFA Champions League squad after picking up major injuries in the opening month of the season.
