• Braga lost 2-0 to CFR 1907 Cluj on matchday one despite having 35 shots, 23 on target – more than any other side.

• Éder has set up three goals so far, the joint highest total along with FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Luiz Adriano.

• Zé Luis marked his first start for Braga with the opening goal in Saturday's 3-1 win at home to his former club, Gil Vicente FC.

• Douglão (thigh) returned to action after missing Braga's last three matches in all competitions but Paulo Vinicius, Ismaily, Paulo César, Carlão (all thigh) and Djamal (knee) were all sidelined, Paulo Vinicius missing his first match this season after playing every minute of Braga's games in all competitions.

• Braga have been drawn against third-tier FC Pampilhosa in the Portuguese Cup fourth round.

• Still searching for his first UEFA Champions League goal, Éder scored twice in the 2-0 win at CS Marítimo on 28 October.

• Manchester United's 3-2 victory against Braga on matchday three was only the second time they had come from two behind to win a UEFA Champions League game. The first was a 3-2 triumph over Juventus in the 1998/99 semi-finals.

• This is United's 17th successive UEFA Champions League group stage campaign. They have scored 447 goals in the European Cup.

• Ryan Giggs has scored in a record 16 different UEFA Champions League seasons. He is also the competition's oldest scorer, at 37 years and 289 days.

• This is United's 300th match in UEFA competition.

• Robin van Persie scored against his former club as United beat Arsenal FC 2-1 on Saturday.

• Wayne Rooney missed a first-half penalty against Arsenal, United's fourth failure in six attempts this season. Nani, Van Persie and Javier Hernández have also failed to convert from the spot.

• Patrice Evra got United's second against Arsenal, his second league goal of the season. It is the first time in his career he has scored more than one top-flight goal in a campaign.

• Shinji Kagawa has been ruled out of the Braga trip with a knee injury picked up on matchday three.

• Nemanja Vidić has been unavailable since matchday one because of a knee injury.

• Sir Alex Ferguson's side lost 5-4 after extra time at Chelsea FC in the League Cup fourth round on 31 October, ending a run of five successive away wins.

• Four days earlier, United had beaten the nine-man Blues 3-2 in the Premier League. Ashley Young returned from two months on the sidelines following a knee injury.

• Rooney and Van Persie are in the running for the FIFA Ballon d'Or award, the winner of which will be announced on 7 January in Zurich. Sir Alex is in the running for the coaching prize.

• Joshua King scored his first international goal in Norway's 3-1 FIFA World Cup qualifying win in Cyprus on 16 October.

• United lost 3-2 to Tottenham Hotspur FC on 29 September, their first home league defeat of 2012.
