• Dynamo's 2-0 win against GNK Dinamo Zagreb on matchday two came on Oleh Blokhin's coaching debut in the European Cup. He was appointed Dynamo boss following the dismissal of Yuri Semin on 24 September.

• Dynamo have won just one of their last 16 away games in the UEFA Champions League group stage – at FC Porto in October 2008. They have lost 11 and drawn four.

• The Kyiv club have conceded seven goals, the joint highest total in the group stage along with FC Spartak Moskva, FC Nordsjælland and Manchester City FC.

• Dynamo have conceded 147 goals in the UEFA Champions League, group stage to final.

• Denys Garmash will incur a suspension with his next booking.

• Dynamo beat SC Tavriya Simferopol 2-0 on Saturday to end a run of four matches without a win in all competitions, their worst sequence since August 2010.

• Marco Ruben scored his first goal for the club against Tavriya, Taras Mikhalik doubling the lead with his first league goal since 31 July 2010.

• Blokhin was admitted to hospital suffering from hypertension two days after matchday two. The 59-year-old has since been released following surgery, but has been advised to rest and not attend away games until the end of the year.

• Semin and his backroom team were sacked following a 4-1 Ukrainian Cup loss to FC Shakhtar Donetsk on 23 September – the capital side's heaviest domestic defeat since Ukrainian independence.

• Olexandr Shovkovskiy announced his international retirement on 4 September; he won 92 caps for Ukraine following his debut in November 1994.

UEFA Champions League statistics
• Porto's 3-2 triumph against Dynamo on matchday three means the Dragons have started the UEFA Champions League group stage with three victories for the first time since 1996/97, when they won four in succession.

• Porto's next win in UEFA competition will be their 150th.

• Lucho González scored in the 2-0 win at GNK Dinamo Zagreb on matchday one and has now registered in all eight seasons he has appeared in the UEFA Champions League – five with Porto and three with Olympique de Marseille.

• Porto extended their unbeaten start to the season to 13 games on Friday with a 5-0 win against CS Marítimo, their sixth successive victory.

• Jackson Martínez struck twice against Marítimo to take his tally to 12 goals in 13 appearances this season for club and country. He has scored in each of Porto's last seven Liga games.

• The 2-1 Liga win at GD Estoril-Praia on 28 October was Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa's 1,000th game as Porto chairman. His first match was also in Estoril, a 1-1 draw in April 1982.

• Porto will travel to CD Nacional in the Portuguese Cup fourth round on 17 November.

• Porto won their 19th Portuguese Super Cup on 11 August, Martínez's last-minute goal earning a 1-0 victory against Portuguese Cup holders A. Académica de Coimbra.
