• Dortmund have scored 145 European Cup goals. They have conceded 197 goals in UEFA competition.

• The German champions have been caught offside only five times, the joint lowest total in the group stage along with CFR 1907 Cluj and SL Benfica.

• Roman Weidenfeller, Neven Subotić, Łukasz Piszczek, Marcel Schmelzer and Robert Lewandowski have played every minute of Dortmund's group stage campaign.

• Mario Götze's third goal in four appearances earned a 1-1 draw at FC Bayern München on Saturday, stretching Dortmund's unbeaten run to 11 games in all competitions.

• Subotić went off with a hip problem late on at Bayern.

• Lewandowski scored both goals as Dortmund won 2-1 at 1. FSV Mainz 05 on 24 November.

• Dortmund failed to score for the first time in 27 matches on 3 November as they were held to a 0-0 draw by VfB Stuttgart.

• Dortmund will face Hannover 96 in the German Cup third round on 19 December.

• Dortmund's 31-match unbeaten run in the Bundesliga, dating back a year and four days, ended when they lost 3-2 at Hamburger SV on 22 September. • City failed to reach the knockout phase last season despite collecting ten points in the group stage, matching the record for the highest points haul without advancing. SV Werder Bremen (2006/07), Olympiacos FC, FC Dynamo Kyiv (2004/05) and PSV Eindhoven (2003/04) all suffered an identical fate.

• The English champions have been caught offside 25 times, more than any other club.

• Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany and Yaya Touré have played all 450 minutes of City's group stage campaign so far.

• Touré serves a one-game ban after collecting his third yellow card of the group stage on matchday five; Javi García and Kompany's next yellow cards will incur suspensions.

• City's 1-1 draw with Everton FC on Saturday stretched their unbeaten home run in the Premier League to 37 matches, 33 of them wins. Aleksandar Kolarov was forced off with a knock after seven minutes.

• City extended their unbeaten start to the league campaign to 15 games, which is one more than last season though they have five fewer points than they did at the same stage last term.

• Mario Balotelli scored his first top-flight goal this term as City won 2-0 at Wigan Athletic FC on 28 November.

• Three days earlier, Roberto Mancini's side drew 0-0 at Chelsea FC, their second stalemate in six matches having found the net in all of their previous 14 games this season.

• City's 5-0 win against Aston Villa FC on 17 November was their biggest of the campaign.

• Micah Richards was ruled out for up to four months with a knee injury sustained in the 1-0 triumph against Swansea City AFC on 27 October. The England defender only made his first appearance of the campaign on 6 October because of an ankle problem.
