Second spell
The versatile Cocu has agreed a two-year deal with the Eredivise side where he spent three seasons between 1995 and 1998. The midfield player was a free agent after failing to come to an agreement over a new contract with Barcelona, ending a six-year stay at the Camp Nou.
Plenty of experience
Cocu is part of the Dutch squad at UEFA EURO 2004™ and has been capped 79 times by his country, scoring seven goals. The 33-year-old, whose previous clubs include AZ Alkmaar and SBV Vitesse, made more than 200 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 31 goals.
Happy with switch
Explaining why he chose to return to Eindhoven, Cocu said: "I think that it is very important to have a good feeling about the decisions I make. I am convinced it is the right decision, and I hope we will be able to have two beautiful years ahead at PSV."
On the move
Meanwhile, Belgian goalkeepers Yves Lenaerts and Nick Vermeiren are both leaving PSV to return to their homeland. The 21-year-old Lenaerts, who made three appearances in 2003/04, has signed a two-year contract with K. Heusen-Zolder and Vermeiren a one-year deal with SV Turnhout.
