'Blank contract'
Ümit, who captained the side to the championship this season, said: "As a team captain you have certain responsibilities and I have signed an blank contract without discussing financial details. This is one of them. I am very happy to agree terms with my club again."
Career pledge
The 27-year-old added: "Next year I want to achieve success both in the Turkish Superleague and in the [UEFA] Champions League. I have completed my third year at the club and experienced the joy of lifting the title this season. I would like to end my playing career here."
Agreement 'forever'
Club vice-president Mahmut Uslu said: "Our agreement with him is forever." Ümit joined Fenerbahçe in summer 2001 from Gençlerbirligi SK.
