UEFA Champions League challengers Málaga CF have added midfielder Pedro Morales to their ranks, the 27-year-old Chilean international arriving on a free transfer from GNK Dinamo Zagreb.

Having recently sealed loan moves for Chelsea FC's Lucas Piazón and Diego Lugano of Paris Saint-Germain FC, the Boquerones have now agreed a deal with Morales. He will spend the remainder of the campaign at La Rosaleda, with the option of signing for two more seasons should he impress.

Most recently on loan at CF Universidad de Chile, Morales first landed in Europe at Dinamo, where he scored 24 goals in 60 Croatian top-flight appearances. The central midfielder has also registered three goals in 14 senior internationals for Chile.

Málaga face FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League round of 16, with the first leg at the Estádio do Dragão on 19 February. The sides meet for the return in Spain on 13 March.
