UEFA Champions League statistics
• Schalke are one of three teams still unbeaten this season, along with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.

• Benedikt Höwedes and Roman Neustädter have played every minute of Schalke's campaign.

• Jermaine Jones is banned after his first-leg booking; Joel Matip and Marco Höger will incur a suspension with their next yellow cards.

• Schalke also signed midfielder Raffael on loan from FC Dynamo Kyiv for the rest of the season, with an option to make the deal permanent. He is ineligible for the UEFA Champions League.

• Edu's contract was cancelled by mutual agreement on 28 February, with the 31-year-old joining Liaoning Whowin FC.

• Julian Draxler marked his 100th competitive appearance for Schalke with a goal in Saturday's 2-1 win against champions Borussia Dortmund. At 19 years, 170 days, he is the youngest German player to reach the milestone. Schalke's youngest debutant at 17 years, 117 days, he became the youngest player to play 50 Bundesliga games in September.

• Schalke have won three in a row since the first leg, having managed a solitary victory in their previous 13 outings.

• Atsuto Uchida (thigh, out since 6 February) and Christian Fuchs (back, 16 February) were back in action against Dortmund, starter Uchida marking his return with assists for both goals.

• Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was carried off on Saturday after a collision with Timo Hildebrand. A scan revealed ligament damage to his left knee; he has been ruled out for several weeks.

• Höwedes agreed a three-year contract extension on Saturday, tying himself to the club until 2017.

• Ibrahim Afellay (thigh) and Kyriakos Papadopoulos (knee) have been out of action since November. Lars Unnerstall, Ciprian Marica and Christoph Moritz (all knee) have also been sidelined. 

• Matip scored both Schalke's goals in the 2-1 win against Fortuna Düsseldorf on 23 February, the first time in his professional career he has struck twice in one game.

• Coach Huub Stevens departed on 16 December, with Jens Keller taking up the reins until the end of the season.

• Max Meyer, 17, provided an assist for Bastos within ten minutes of coming on for his Bundesliga debut in the 2-2 draw at 1. FSV Mainz on 16 February.

• Moritz will leave Schalke at the end of the season after agreeing a four-year deal with Mainz.


UEFA Champions League statistics
• Galatasaray have conceded 197 European Cup goals.

• Galatasaray were nine games without an away victory in the UEFA Champions League proper, losing eight, before their 3-1 triumph at CFR 1907 Cluj on matchday four. They won on matchday six too, 2-1 at SC Braga.

• Burak Yılmaz became the second Turkish player to score a UEFA Champions League hat-trick on matchday four, following Tuncay Şanlı in Fenerbahçe SK's 3-0 victory at home to Manchester United FC on 8 December 2004.

• Burak has scored seven goals this season, the best ever return in this competition for a player representing a Turkish club. Mário Jardel scored six for Galatasaray in 2001/02.

• Burak has this season become the first Turkish player to represent four different clubs in the UEFA Champions League. He had previously featured for Beşiktaş JK, Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor AŞ.

• Galatasaray have scored eight goals this season, the lowest total among the last 16; four were headers.

• Fernando Muslera, Dany Nounkeu and Selçuk İnan have played all 630 minutes of Galatasaray's campaign.

• Nordin Amrabat, Selçuk İnan, Nounkeu, Burak and Albert Riera will incur suspensions with their next bookings.

• Tomáš Ujfaluši is not in the UEFA Champions League squad because of a knee injury, but has resumed light training.

• Drogba missed a late penalty and Gökhan Zan was sent off three minutes from time on Friday as Galatasaray lost 1-0 at home to Gençlerbirliği SK. Gökhan was making his third league appearance of the season, having made his first against Orduspor on 25 February, deputising for the injured Semih Kaya (groin).

• All four of Galatasaray's league defeats this season have come on a Friday, out of eight games.

• Felipe Melo, who was suspended on Friday, became a father for the fourth time on 25 February when his wife Roberta gave birth to a boy they have named Luke.

• Fatih Terim (three games) and assistant Hasan Şaş (one) received domestic touchline bans after being sent to the stands against Orduspor on 25 February.

• Hamit Altıntop is yet to score for Galatasaray; his shot against the post in the first leg was the fourth time he has hit the woodwork this season.

• On as a substitute, Drogba scored five minutes into his Galatasaray debut on 15 February as Terim's side won 2-1 at Akhisar Belediyespor. Sneijder opened his account in the 4-2 victory over Orduspor on 25 February.

• Umut Bulut (14) and Burak (21) have scored 35 of Galatasaray's 62 goals in all competitions this season.

• Galatasaray's Turkish Cup ambitions ended with a 2-1 home loss to second-tier 1461 Trabzon on 11 December.

• Midfielder Felipe Melo saved a penalty in the win at Elazığspor on 24 November after Muslera was sent off with all Galatasaray's substitutes already made.

• Engin Baytar served an 11-game domestic ban after his red card in August's 3-2 Super Cup victory over Fenerbahçe.
