Former winners among qualifying draw hopefuls

Last season's UEFA Champions League round of 16 competitors Celtic FC are among the teams in the first and second qualifying round draws on Monday in Nyon.

Last season's UEFA Champions League round of 16 competitors Celtic FC, along with 2012/13 group stage participants FC BATE Borisov and GNK Dinamo Zagreb, will be keeping a keen eye on proceedings at Monday's first and second qualifying round draws in Nyon, streamed live on UEFA.com from 12.00CET.

Celtic, who lifted the European Champion Clubs' Cup in 1967, and fellow former winners FC Steaua Bucureşti are two of 32 sides that kick off in the second stage. They will be joined there by two of EB/Streymur, SP Tre Penne, FC Lusitans and FC Shirak, respectively the title holders in the Faroe Islands, San Marino, Andorra and Armenia, who face off in the first qualifying round on 2/3 and 9/10 July.

UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino and UEFA competitions director Giorgio Marchetti will make the draw for the second round, with the games played over two legs on 16/17 and 23/24 July. The 16 victorious teams must navigate the third qualifying round and a play-off to reach the group stage.

In both draws, balls containing the seeded clubs from one group are placed in one bowl, with balls for the unseeded clubs in the same group positioned in another. A ball is taken from each bowl and placed in a large empty bowl in the middle, where they are shuffled. The first team drawn plays its first match at home, against the second team drawn
