PFC CSKA Moskva have bolstered their midfield options ahead of the UEFA Champions League group stage by acquiring Bulgaria schemer Georgi Milanov from PFC Litex Lovech and Steven Zuber from Grasshopper Club.
The 21-year-old Milanov, who became the youngest recipient of the Bulgarian player of the year award in 2012, has put pen to paper on a five-year contract. He leaves Litex after registering 28 goals in 106 league appearances since scoring on his debut in August 2009. After starring at Under-19 and U21 levels, Milanov has gone on to score one goal in 11 senior internationals.
CSKA's second summer signing quickly followed as Zuber, another 21-year-old midfielder, penned a five-year deal. He debuted for the Zürich club in July 2008 and went on to play 114 league matches, scoring 21 goals. The Switzerland U21 international won the Swiss Cup last season.
Both newcomers could make their debuts for CSKA on 13 July when they tackle FC Zenit St Petersburg in the Russian Super Cup and they will also have an eye on the UEFA Champions League group stage draw on 29 August in Monaco.
