Borussia Dortmund have been deprived of midfielder Nuri Şahin for their UEFA Champions League Group F encounter at Arsenal FC on 22 October.

Şahin, 25, succumbed to an ankle injury during the Bundesliga team's 2-0 defeat by VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday and has been ruled out for up to three weeks. The Turkish international will also be unavailable for his nation's FIFA World Cup qualifying games against Estonia on Friday and the Netherlands four days later.

Jürgen Klopp's charges made amends for their opening 2-1 loss at SSC Napoli by overwhelming Olympique de Marseille 3-0 on matchday two to climb into second spot.
