Striker Fabio Quagliarella has been laid low for up to three weeks with a thigh injury and therefore misses Juventus's UEFA Champions League trip to Real Madrid CF next Wednesday.

The Italy forward, who registered in both of the Bianconeri's Group B draws against FC København on matchday one and Galatasaray AŞ two weeks later, incurred the injury in training on Tuesday. The 30-year-old, a €4.5m capture from SSC Napoli in 2010, is also a doubt for the Madrid return fixture in Turin on 5 November.

Antonio Conte's team travel to the Santiago Bernabéu four points shy of section pacesetters Madrid, who dispatched København 4-0 last time out after consigning Galatasaray to a 6-1 reverse.
