Club Atlético de Madrid foward Léo Baptistão is expected to miss next week's UEFA Champions League game against FK Austria Wien after suffering a sprained ankle in training.

The 21-year-old Brazilian incurred the injury to his left ankle on Wednesday, with tests revealing a grade two sprain. The club have not yet said how long it will take the player to recover, but he is unlikely to be fit for Tuesday's Group G visit to Austria Wien, though he could feature in the matchday four return fixture in Madrid.

Atlético coach Diego Simeone may call on Baptistão's fellow Brazilian Diego Costa to deputise, with the 25-year-old available after serving a two-match suspension.
