Napoli's Zúñiga booked in for knee operation

Camilo Zúñiga will undergo knee surgery and is expected to miss SSC Napoli's back-to-back UEFA Champions League Group F games against Olympique de Marseille.

SSC Napoli have announced that Camilo Zúñiga will have surgery on his right knee on Monday at a clinic in Rome.

The wing-back, 27, is undergoing the procedure to correct complications arising from an operation eight years ago. A statement on the Italian club's website reads: "The recovery time will be determined after the operation has been completed."

The Colombian international, who earlier this month extended his contract with the Partenopei until June 2018, has been ruled out of tonight's Serie A match against AS Roma and is expected to miss the next two UEFA Champions League games, against Olympique de Marseille on Tuesday and at home to the French side on 6 November.
