Group stage could be over for Austria's Mader

Ever-present for FK Austria Wien in the UEFA Champions League, Florian Mader has been ruled out of the trip to FC Porto with a calf injury and could also miss matchday six.

Florian Mader is likely to miss FK Austria Wien's last two games in UEFA Champions League Group G because of a calf problem.

The midfielder, ever-present for the capital side in continental competition this season, sustained the injury during Saturday's 1-0 Austrian Bundesliga victory over Wolfsberger AC and was substituted 21 minutes from time.

Following scans, the club estimate that the 31-year-old will be sidelined for four weeks, meaning he will definitely sit out the Violets' away encounter with FC Porto on 26 November and possibly also the visit of FC Zenit a fortnight later. Austria are bottom of the section with one point from their opening four matches.
