AC Milan will be without Robinho and Ignazio Abate for their decisive Group H game against AFC Ajax on matchday six.

Milan won 3-0 against Celtic FC on Tuesday to move up to second in their UEFA Champions League section, one point above Ajax ahead of their meeting in a fortnight. Robinho was an 80th-minute substitute in Glasgow, with subsequent scans on Wednesday revealing that the Brazil forward dislocated his left shoulder and is expected to be out of action for a month.

Abate, who was forced off three minutes into the second half at Celtic Park, suffered a sprained ankle. Though the exact length of his absence is not yet known, the Italian international defender is likely to be unavailable for several weeks.

The Rossoneri will qualify for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 should they avoid defeat by Ajax in northern Italy. They will finish top of the group if they win and FC Barcelona lose at home to Celtic.
