Olympiacos FC striker Kostas Mitroglou will miss their decisive UEFA Champions League match against RSC Anderlecht after being sidelined for a month with a knee injury.
The 25-year-old, a scorer of 23 competitive goals this season, injured the medial collateral ligament in his right knee during Wednesday's 2-1 Group C defeat by Paris Saint-Germain; doctors have also not ruled out arthroscopic surgery for a meniscus tear.
Mitroglou, who got a hat-trick in last month's 3-0 win at Anderlecht and recently helped Greece beat Romania in the FIFA World Cup play-offs, will therefore sit out the 10 December visit of the Belgian club.
Olympiacos will secure a round of 16 place as section runners-up with victory, or by taking as many points as SL Benfica do against Paris in Lisbon.
