Club Atlético de Madrid midfielder Tiago has emerged as a doubt for his side's UEFA Champions League round of 16 opener at AC Milan this month after suffering knee and wrist injuries at the weekend.
Tiago left the pitch on a stretcher during Atlético's 2-0 Liga loss at UD Almería on Saturday, with medical tests later revealing that the former Portuguese international has suffered a broken left wrist and a right-knee ligament strain. Although no estimated recovery time has been released, the 32-year-old joins injured team-mate Filipe Luís [adductor muscle tear] as a serious doubt for the Rojiblancos' first leg against Milan on 19 February.
