AC Sparta Praha have signed striker Milan Pacanda for a €650,000 fee from 1. FC Brno.

Dangerous striker
The 26-year-old is one of the most dangerous strikers in the Czech league, having scored 48 goals in 158 league games for Brno. He has signed a four-year contract at Sparta and can now look forward to playing in the second preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League against APOEL FC.

Knee injury
Pacanda's career was almost ruined by a serious knee injury in 1999 which kept him out of football for a year. However, he recovered from that setback, and last season was to prove his most successful campaign to date, as he struck 12 goals to finish fourth in the scoring chart for the season.
