One of only two coaches to have been in charge of both Real Madrid CF and Club Atlético de Madrid, Radomir Antić will have something to celebrate regardless of who wins the UEFA Champions League final.

The 65-year-old Serbian, a long-term resident of the Spanish capital, enjoyed a colourful interlude at the Real Madrid helm in 1991 and later had three separate spells coaching Atlético, notably winning a league and cup double in 1995/96. One of his players in that side was Diego Simeone, who has led Atlético to this season's final – and the Liga title.

Antić is proud of his one-time protégé, telling UEFA.com: "I know the coach and he has managed to create a great united team. They could go a long way to proving the point in the world of football that good footballers aren't always the most important factor in making a good team. A good atmosphere always makes a good team."
