New faces
Following FIFA intervention over unpaid wages yesterday, the 27-year-old was able to leave AEK and join a club of his choice. It is not known how much Olympiacos, who have made several summer signings including Brazilian playmaker Rivaldo and Argentinian defender Gabriel Schürrer, will pay for Okkas's services.
Reunited with Bajevic
An experienced international and former Cypriot Player of the Year, Okkas moved to Greece in summer 2000, signing for PAOK FC from Anorthosis Famagusta FC. Olympiacos had shown an interest in buying him last season, but he chose AEK to link up with coach Dusan Bajevic. Following Bajevic's arrival at Olympiacos last month, Okkas will play for his former trainer again.
