Hugo Leal picked by Porto

FC Porto unveiled Portuguese international Hugo Leal as their new signing in front of 47,000 spectators at Estádio do Dragão on Saturday.

Free agent
The 24-year-old midfield player was released by French side Paris Saint-Germain FC at the beginning of the week and, as a free agent, has now signed a four-year contract with the UEFA Champions League holders. Hugo Leal formerly played for SL Benfica before trying his luck abroad, first in Spain with Club Atlético de Madrid and lately with PSG.

Coaching change
Porto parted company with Italian coach Luigi Del Neri, who had not taken charge of the side in a competitive match, on Saturday morning. Porto meet Benfica in the Portuguese Super Cup on 20 August before beginning the defence of their league title nine days later and their Champions League crown when the group stage kicks off in September.
