Suárez: Atlético hope for away repeat

Mario Suárez is hoping Club Atlético de Madrid can take inspiration from last season's semi-final against Chelsea FC after the 0-0 home draw with Real Madrid CF.

Suárez expects tough return

Club Atlético de Madrid were held 0-0 by Real Madrid CF in the home leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final and Mario Suárez is looking back 12 months for comfort ahead of next Wednesday's short away trip.

Reflecting on last season's semi-final, when Atleti were held 0-0 in the Spanish capital by Chelsea FC only to win 3-1 in London, Suárez said of tonight's game: "It's not the result we expected at the beginning but it's the same result we took last year to Stamford Bridge in the semi-finals – and we won."
