After this week's quarter-final second legs, FC Barcelona are top of the UEFA club coefficient rankings for this season – but the Spanish side remain in second place overall, behind their great rivals Real Madrid CF.

Barcelona have collected 29.271 points this season, just ahead of fellow UEFA Champions League semi-finalists Madrid, who are on 28.271. FC Porto, eliminated by FC Bayern München in the quarter-finals, are third in the 2014/15 rankings (26.750) with Juventus fourth (26.233) and Bayern fifth (26.000).

The overall rankings remain the same, with Madrid still first on 167.228 points, comfortably ahead of Barcelona (156.228). Bayern stay third (149.711) with Chelsea FC fourth (142.078) and Club Atlético de Madrid fifth (120.228). In the only movement in the top ten since the last set of rankings, Porto (111.209) climb to eighth position, swapping places with Arsenal FC (110.078), who fall to ninth.

Over the course of the season, FC Schalke 04 are the big movers at the head of the table, rising from 14th spot at the end of 2013/14 to seventh currently. Paris Saint-Germain are up from 17th to 11th, while Manchester United FC – not involved in European competition this term – slip from sixth to tenth and Valencia CF are now 13th having begun the campaign in eighth.
