When FC Barcelona won the Copa del Rey last Saturday, it was the 24th club trophy of Xavi Hernández's incredible career: a record for a footballer in Spain, overtaking Francisco 'Paco' Gento's haul of 23. Nor are those the only startling numbers associated with a player who is without doubt one of the modern greats.

The 35-year-old has made the joint-most appearances in the UEFA Champions League alongside Iker Casillas: 150. Feature in Saturday's final against Juventus and Xavi will nudge ahead in his last act as a Barcelona player.
