Olympique Lyonnais midfield player Mahamadou Diarra is struggling to be fit for the UEFA Champions League visit of Manchester United FC next Wednesday.

Pulled muscle
The 23-year-old Malian international, who played all ten of Lyon's Champions League matches last season before the loss to FC Porto, pulled a thigh muscle in training. Diarra missed the opening two games of Lyon's title defence as he recovered from a groin injury sustained at the end of last term and is also out of Saturday's trip to Stade Rennais FC. In addition to Manchester United, Lyon will play AC Sparta Praha and Fenerbahçe SK in Group D.
