Thigh strain rules Olic out

Striker Ivica Olic has a thigh injury and may miss PFC CSKA Moskva's next UEFA Champions League outing.

Attempted back-heel
The 25-year-old sustained the injury attempting a back-heel in the Paris Saint-Germain FC penalty area which forced him off in the 58th minute. "No one hit me, I injured myself," Olic said. "I don't think I'll be ready for the match against Bulgaria which is a pity as I was really looking forward to it. I felt that I was in excellent form before this injury."

Semak impresses
Olic's replacement, Sergei Semak, scored the opening goal six minutes later and won the penalty from which Vágner Love sealed the Group H victory in the 77th minute.

'Further tests'
"Olic has more than likely strained a muscle in the back of his thigh," said CSKA doctor Oleg Ipatenko. "He will undergo further tests on Thursday but I think he will be out for around two weeks." CSKA's next Champions League game is against Chelsea FC in London on 20 October.
