Mesut Özil scored a second-half hat-trick as Arsenal blew Ludogorets away. The German international took centre stage after Alexis Sánchez, with a deft chip, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had given the north Londoners a 3-0 advantage by the 46-minute mark.

Rostov 0-1 Atlético Madrid
Atlético were made to work before finally making the breakthrough just after the hour. Yannick Carrasco's thumping finish at the far post not only rubber-stamped the Rojiblancos' third successive victory – it also inflicted on Rostov their first home defeat in 27 games.
